At Friends of Man we are a 501(c)(3), non-profit, tax-exempt charity using 100% of donations for charitable assistance. We work through Referring Professionals (caseworkers, case managers, health care workers, social workers, counselors, teachers, clergy) who apply on behalf of their patients and clients needing mobility equipment, prosthetics, glasses, dentures, hearing aids, and much more!

KNOWAutism:
KNOWAutism was founded in 2013 with the goal of helping families of individuals with autism better navigate the process of diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and education. Then organization provides funding for tuition and diagnostic assistance. The Tuition & Therapy Assistance Program offers scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to help ease the financial burden of therapeutic treatments and intervention for autism. To be eligible, the child must be between the ages of 12 months and 18 years of age and must have already received a clinical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. These awards may be used for behavioral intervention programs, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social skills groups, special needs schools, and/or special education programs.

We make Self-Sufficiency Grants in an effort to assist individuals and families who, because they are working and live just above the poverty level, are ineligible for most types of conventional social assistance but who, all the same, are living one or two lost paychecks away from the kind of financial catastrophe that eventually leads to homelessness.

Parents email us when they find a camp for their child. We ask them for the name of the camp, the dates they are looking at and the cost of the camp. If funds are available and we are able to help them, we will require documentation from their child’s doctor stating that he/she is on the Autism Spectrum.

MyGOAL offers a year a yearly grant to 20 families across the United States, to support and care for individuals under 18 years old with autism. MyGOAL Autism Grant is a program to support families caring for individuals with Autism. The MyGOAL Autism Grant is offered once a year, applications are available at the beginning of the year and decisions are rendered in mid-June. We provide a range of $500-$1,000 to 20 families throughout the United States. Applicants must be the primary caregiver of the individual on the Autism Spectrum and provide the following:
